I'm back with my first day of school essentials!
My school starts August and will be ending around May.
Since I start school tomorrow *cries*, here are things I thought I would bring on the first day of school!
I also want to state that we don't really do much regarding acads on the first day of school, so I like to keep my things light.

1. Notebook - Since it's the first day of school, I'll be needing to jot down notes for things we will be needing in the future or even homework *cries again*

2. Wallet - In case of emergencies ( aka " gutom na gutom na ako, sige, bili na lang ako ng pagkain" ), I have my wallet!

3. Eye Glasses - I rarely use my glasses, although there are times during class where in we need to read long paragraphs or even powerpoint presentations.

4. Pencil Case - You wouldn't want to be asking for a pen on the first day of school now would you? I know I wouldn't want to!

5. Lipstick - I know school isn't about looking on fleek a hundred percent of the time, but I would like to do a few touch ups here and there to look decent at least.

6. Oil Blotter Sheets - My T - Zone area tends to get oily during the day, so I use my Oil Blotter Sheets to " mattify " my skin.

7. Hand Sanitizer - Germs germs germs germs! ( plus my hand sanitizer smells like Vanilla Cupcakes! )

8. Phone - I never leave the house without my phone!

The last day of school is always the best for me. But in this case, it was more of a sobbing type of day. I couldn't help but feel sad that the school year was over despite all the stressful school works i've been given. I guess it was the fact that a handful of my favorite teachers were leaving for better opportunities, and that the school itself is going to be moving to a new building. No one really likes the idea of someone leaving, but we all know that it's for the great or good.

Now back to the topic of 9th grade, this year surely had it's ups and downs. But what's interesting is that this year taught me the difference between fantasy and reality. 9th grade was also the start of a journey to finding myself and my purpose. In my last post ( Grade 8 ), i said that i was looking forward to more opportunities, memories, friends, experiences, etc.
Well, I'm happy to say that i found all of those, and I'd like to share a few of them.

Opportunities: For the first time, i became a team captain for the Volleyball Varsity team ( Team B ).
And for the first time, i had Spanish class!

Friends: To my classmates who I haven't had a conversation with when i was in 8th grade, we are now closer than ever. And I've stepped out of my comfort zone to be much closer to new students of the upper batches, and i love them!

Experiences: I lost the 9th grade class election as president, and that has never happened before ( I would usually have a position as a class officer ), and it taught me that winning isn't everything.

The things that i mentioned were just a little bit of 9th grade. Now for the next year, i figured I'd change it up a bit and give myself a message to my future self!

To my 10th grade self,
I hope that 10th grade was one of your best school years, and i hope that you learned a lot despite the ups and downs. Maybe you've met new people? Maybe you've found a new circle of friends? Or maybe you've stuck to the same circle...
Anyways, i hope that in 10th grade, you will grow so much from day one, till the last day, and realize how much you've improved!

Silence.

It's either a good or bad thing.

Silence could mean nothing but thin air between two people aren't in good terms as of that moment.

But,

I'd rather focus on the " good " type of silence.

The type where in you stare into an empty space and let your mind wander without having any restrictions, because no one can hear you but you. You count your blessings and realise just how lucky you are.

Or, you can create space in your mind, let everything drift away.

Having too much going on in that head of yours could seriously mess you up.

Ironic, you take time to clear your mind & fill them in with any wanders your mind creates.

and i hope you find love not only from others, but for yourself.

( First year anniversary of my blog! )

15. The middle aged teenager. I don't really know whats in store for me as a 15 year old besides the typical responsibilities and having to act a bit maturely. This year, I will make up for my past mistakes, i will try my best in whatever I need to do no matter how difficult it is, and most importantly, I will learn to love and accept myself despite any kind of result.

Going back to the title " To Be Continued ", it means that i go further with what i have been doing in the past year, but instead, I IMPROVE. Improvement takes time, and that is something I've finally understood, therefore this year It will take my time because I know that in the end, it'll all be worth it.
I know my blogpost is short, but all i can say is

I am not a pro, I am not the best,

but i have definitely found the sport i love.

I've started playing volleyball since i was grade 7, and i have started as the "Scaredy Cat" of the team. I would always be scared whenever a ball would approach me, but then eventually i got over it.

Volleyball was the first sport that i felt was "mine". Of course i'm not saying i am the best, but every time i would play games, i just felt as if i was in my own world, my own world of Volleyball. I would always look forward to training ( unlike my previous sports trainings ) despite the strengthening and endless drills we had to do ( TY Coach Rhyll for making my legs cry and my arms sore ). I know i've only been playing volleyball for almost 3 years and i know there is a ton of room for improvement and i'm excited to work on that, but sadly seasons over and now i'd have to wait for next year. I'm still looking for other volleyball trainings/camps i could join so that i could still play, but as of now i'm actually in the football Varsity team of my school. Anyways, back to my point, i just wanted to share how much i love Volleyball and how i'm happy to finally find the sport that i was " made for " and that could still bring a smile to my face even though i'd get spiked in the face ( Ha ha, very funny Cas ). I hope you guys find your very own sport / hobby / talent or WHATEVER it is that makes you feel like you are your own person and you are in your own happy place.

Every time we look at the mirror, it reveals a reflection of ourselves. The way we dress, the way our facial features were made, the way our bodies are shaped, some imperfections here and there, birthmarks and scars. But what the mirror doesn't show, is what is on the inside. But that's what everyone seeks in others, the interests of one another's personality. You can't simply look at the mirror and see whether you are a good or a bad person, it must start with your attitude towards yourself, your attitude towards your work and your attitude towards the people around you. Starting off with yourself, you must practice the traits of discipline, patience, focus, forgiveness, positivity, and determination. Remember, you are your only true best friend, the only person you could never leave behind, the only person who's there for you and is stuck with you forever, so be careful on what you say to that person you always look at in front of the mirror. Push those negative thoughts away and love yourself because self love is important.

Murry and I went ate at a healthy restaurant called "FaBurrito" which states how many calories are in each dish. I ordered salad and it tasted absolutely amazing and actually made me feel more full than eating any typical salad, which is pretty good in my case. Then we walked around for a bit and eventually got some coffee at Starbucks, and even decided to get a Macaroon. Afterwards, we decided to go shopping! Funny how we both ended up buying the same pair of shorts..Well anyway, here are some photos from today! Hope you guys enjoy! I'd like to apologise in advanced for some unfocused photographs.

I can’t believe this school year ended so quickly! It’s such a shame cause honestly, grade 8 was one of the best school years for me so far, I learned so many things, I’ve made so much mistakes, I met new people, I observed more, and well, I changed. I’m actually writing this the night before the last day of school because I cant help but have so much of the feels (huhu). I’m laying down in bed reminiscing and thinking about the first day of school and other memorable events.

Today was absolutely dramatic. My advisor and his speech. My speech as a president. My classmates tearing up. Having our last photos together. I didn’t even know how to say goodbye to those who were leaving! I couldn’t do anything but hug everyone and it sucks how my favorite I.T teacher, Sir Kim, will be leaving my school. Ugh. I’m seriously going to miss everybody, but of course, YOU GOTTA MOVE ON. I’m too speechless right now so all I can say is, I hope for the best in grade 9. Looking forward to more opportunities, more memories, more friends and new experiences.

Yup, officially 14 years old, and honestly, I don't know what challenges will come. Let's just say I'm just living it. Some people think being 14 is just "the second year of the teenage life" but some people say that being 14 means additional responsibilities, which is true. Honestly, I feel myself slowly maturing as the days go by. I start to slowly realize that having birthdays isn't about the gifts, or how much it costs or if ever it was branded, but the responsibility and the task you were given at hand and the decisions and choices you make. As a 14 year old, I choose to stay positive no matter what the circumstances are, and I shouldn't fear the little voice inside of me. That's why it's there isn't it? To be heard?

Anyways, I shouldn't expect a merry-go-round type of journey, but a fast 360 degree messed up roller coaster that has ups and downs. I am what I am today, and we'll see what awaits at the end. And hey, I finally started a blog, and no, this wasn't part of my new year's resolution, but a part of my task. Well, here's to being a fourteen year old!
